Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on August 5 for the second season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, when she was both moderator and host. It was only when she began writing that her true passion began to emerge. Then she won a second Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Prior to that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the news anchor on The Early Show. Following 9/11, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and informative interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. In her final academic year at the University, she served as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). She began her career working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of Moonves' journalism heroes. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
