Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became morning news anchor on WCBD TV and acted as the crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
